Collage Adjacent

Sharing a little art for this Holiday weekend away from the collage table.

I’m taking a long weekend away from the studio this week, so instead of my usual Collage Circle post today I thought I’d share a new art piece I installed for a show earlier this week. Much of my work lately includes a variety of techniques and art practices outside my usual range. For this piece, “True Prophesies No. 1”, I’ve added a few fabric and fiber pieces to a collagraph print over a digitally altered vintage photograph. I love how my recent experiences with collage have prompted me to explore the nature of my art and materials in new ways.

My hope is that you will find the collage experience expanding your notions of play, art, and creativity as it has mine.
